"Locality based community groups like the Neighbourhood Network Schemes support a good old age and provide a bridge between local people and statutory services"

Caring Together in Woodhouse and Little London, a Neighbourhood Network Scheme in North West Leeds, worked with a team of researchers from the Nuffield Institute of Health, University of Leeds, to investigate what makes a ‘good life’ for older people. The report concluded that locality based groups like the Neighbourhood Network Schemes can provide the things older people value and want within a community to support a good old age. ‘Building a good life for older people in local communities’ is available from the Joseph Rowntree Foundation.
